Brent says, "In my painting for the movie "3-Iron" I represented the three actors with my characters. There is a battle between Min-kyu (the husband) on the right of the painting as he is trying to get back his wife, and Tae-Suk (the vagabond) in the middle who is trying to protect her. The heart represents how sometimes when you are in love, it blinds you from reality. Min-kyu is in a box, and under him there is no growth, but under Tae-Suk and Sun-hwa there are flowers and utopia. Surrounding them is a silver lining which represents beauty and love. Though Tae-Suk and Sun-hwa pass through physical homes, their real home is found within them, making it wherever they are together. In the end, they are separated but always together in spirit." |
